Game Scope 2009
The Academic Alliance International Games Conference, Symposium and Tour
will be held in China in January 2009.This event is an opportunity for producers of Interactive Games
worldwide to meet, promote their latest initiatives, learn new techniques
and to scope the game development and game playing landscpe in China.
The Conference focus at this event is designed to provde a podium for individuals or games
companies to explain and promote their latest games related initiatives. Papers can be either of a academic
traditional research nature and/or of a technical and promotional nature. Both types of papers will
formally published in the AAI proceedings.
AAI is deliberately introducing a Symposium aspect to this event in order to maximise the ability
of delegates to form meaningful connections with one another. All delegates, whether presenters or not, will
be able to interact with each other in focus groups and common project groups.
Our Tour will be available for those who wish to scope the game industry in China. Several established
studios and allied technology centres will be included. Delegates will also be able to take advantage of
presentations by speakers familiar with the game market and employment market in China.
The conference site, Harbin, is a city of just over a hundred years old and contributed
greatly to the modern history by contributing to the collapse of the League of Nations
and altered the outcome of modern history and the WWII. It is famous with its many European
architectures, winter sports and Ice and Snow Festival. Conference delegates will enjoy
the city and take the opportunity to experience this wonderful city and people living in Harbin.
Efforts have been made to keep the high standard of the papers published at the
conference. All submissions will be full paper peer reviewed.
